Are chemical hair removers such as Nair suspected to cause skin cancer or harm your skin in anyway?
If you use it as directed are there any long term side effects like getting skin cancer?

There have been no links made between skin cancer and chemical hair removers BUT some people do have skin that is so sensitive that the remover leaves burns behind. The burns of course do eventually heal.
I don’t know about it causing cancer, but I’ve used it and it burned my skin off. And I DON’T have sensitive skin. The chemicals totally ate through my skin and when I wiped the stuff off, each hair follicle was spouting blood. It was so disgusting. I didn’t even use it wrong, I didn’t leave it on over the time period it says to leave it on, I actually started taking it off sooner b/c the burning was so painful!
Cancer I don’t know. But realistically, what in our existence isn’t going to cause cancer eventually? Even oxygen can.
But Nair most certainly can cause chemical burns, especially if you’re sensitive to it.
