What are the beginning signs of skin cancer?

my mom keeps getting these things on her arms that itch her and they bleed and then scab and she has a lot of them. she has lupus and i dunno if it’s from her lupus or if its a sign of skin cancer or not.

cancer runs in my family.

i’ve had 3 family members that i know of die of some kinda cancer and they were all on my mom’s side. and i’m very worried that it could be really bad.
